Why See Murphy's Celtic Legacy?
The New Irish Dance Phenomenon
Devised by former Lord of the Dance lead dancer Chris Hannon, Murphy's Irish Legacy elevates the age old art form to new heights and is poised to become the next big Irish dance phenomenon. Of course, there's more to it than dancing - this spectacular touring production is named for Hannon's grandmother, Patricia Livingstone Murphy, the woman who taught Hannon his first moves and brought Irish dancing to the North East of England.
Exploring the heritage of the Murphy clan, who once lived in harmony with the other tribes of the wealth-filled Emerald Isle, the production charts the Murphys' journey from the turmoil and infighting of their homeland to the promise of new life in Ishan. However, Ishan is not all it seems, and a cinematic battle of styles, colors and technical skill ensues.
Performance date: 30 March 2019
